For most of us, the word ‘journaling’ brings to mind a teenage girl writing about her crush. While it is helpful for those purposes, journaling has so much more to offer and to so many different people. It is a form of self-expression and self-exploration which helps people understand their complex feelings better, without the inhibitions of being judged by anyone. Journaling is private, personal and very intimate. Be it a schoolboy writing about how his day was, a trauma survivor or even an army general with post-war PTSD, journaling helps you to embrace emotions you would otherwise suppress.
